One of the major export items of the Czech Republic is beer. Czech beer is known for its high quality and unique taste, and is widely consumed both domestically and internationally. In fact, the country has a long history of brewing, dating back to the Middle Ages. The Czech Republic is home to over 300 breweries, producing a wide range of beers, including lagers, ales, and pilsners. Pilsner Urquell, one of the most famous Czech beers, is a pale lager that has been brewed since 1842 in the city of Pilsen. Another popular Czech beer is Budweiser Budvar, a lager brewed in the city of České Budějovice.
